Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. – A Japanese corporation with headquarters in the cities of Kobe and Tokyo (Minato district), founded by Kawasaki Siodo in 1896; one of the largest industrial concern in the world. Initially, the company was engaged in shipbuilding, but for the time being, the main products manufactured are motorcycles and mopeds (the Consumer Products and Machinery division). Among the company’s products are also hydro cycles, tractors, trains, engines, parts for Boeing, Embraer and Bombardier Aerospace.
